More Tea Vicar??

Street Festival, more photies....

Lyttelton Street Festival

Today was the Lyttelton Street Festival and it was gorgeous. The streets were shut off and rows and rows of food-stalls, market stalls and more food stalls.... There was also a school fete, complete with animal petting corner (a pig bit me!!), home made lemonade, home made cakes....i was in heaven!

Also went to the vicars house for tea! He opened his (spectacular) garden for people to have devonshire tea in. Tea was served in beautiful china on his beautiful lawn under an enormous oak tree, it was lovely.

Then home, via the doughnut stand, home made blackcurrant juice (what? I thought the tsunami was coming so i was making the most of it) and watched a performer on a pogo stick.

Will attach some photies of the day.

..and more.....

Some photies of house..

Another sunny, beautiful Sunday. Went to some markets and bought a lemon tree and a lime tree and got a free fig tree! Phil has been on a mission and been busy in his 'man cave' (storage space under the house) and been doing some sorting. Off to walk the dogs now, before back-to-school-day tomorrow. Anyway, here are some photies of the house..Phil has just read this and said "thats an interesting blog dear"....sorry, i don't have much to say!

Lyttelton photies..

Had a beautiful walk from the new house through "the village" on a gloriously sunny, warm, spring-like day. Both dogs trotting along next to me, listening to seagulls and the hum of activity from the port...

My First Entry..

Sitting in bed doing this, hoping that it would work - and it looks like it has!! So, this is going to be a way to post photos and news for family and friends from sunny Lyttelton - here goes!
